How to spice up a boring work day outfit? Add a pop of color (POC) with your tights!

 DON’T be afraid to try this at home - pops of color can be used in many ways i.e., blazers, shoes, pants, nail color, lip color - the list is endless.

DO be adventurous and try this with a chic all black outfit with an exciting POC

Enjoy!

capes and feathers

If you’re on the fence about buying a cape – I suggest you do. It’s literally like wearing a nice cozy blanket out of the house and being considered fashionable (it’s like an oxymoron – I know). I scored this cape at American Apparel on a trip to NYC with my best friend. For some reason we swore the weather (in February) was going to be much nicer and failed to pack any sort of coat. Therefore after turning into a block of ice for 2 straight days I was gladly forced into buying this amazing cape. It was totally meant to be and it’s the only thing that I actually look forward to in the winter. There are a ton of different varieties of capes so there are many options that will fit your tastes and preferences.

DO - wear capes & DO add fun accessories like feathers, wild earrings, and spicy shoes.

Happy shopping!

urban lover

Always a lover of studs and anything leather, I tend to take a more urban approach to dressing. I love the denim shirt trend (I'm an 80's baby of course I do!) it's a great layering piece for any outfit and is a great unexpected touch to something dressier.

feminine with an edge

I always hear girls say “I can’t pull that off, because I’m too short, too tall, this or that…etc.” So here is a trend you can pull off no matter what: wearing softer feminine pieces mixed with some edgier hues. Try this at home - take any type of dress, shirt, skirt, (super girly is welcomed: florals, ruffles, lace, etc.) and pair with edgy accessories like leather, spikes, studs, etc. to make your outfit stand out / toughen it up. Here I took two basics from my closet and spiced it up with a leather sleeved army cargo jacket, a spiked gold necklace, leopard clutch, and some gold cap-toe heels.

We encourage you to break out of your daily routine and try this trend, it’s a total DO in our book!

Enjoy!

lazy sunday

{flowers anticipating spring time in a fun new bag}

Since graduating college, Sundays have probably become my favorite day of the week. Instead of cramming for tests, writing papers, and dreading the start of the week, my Sundays are now casual and looked forward too. I can do more of the things I love which include accidental naps, bright flowers, and enjoying the more beautiful things in life.

 Happy Sunday!
